Creating a new living area, with defined spaces
The existing house was built in the 1940’s and is one of a terrace of 5 houses. The house boasts one of the best views in Dublin overlooking Sandymount strand. The design was for an extension to create a new living space, with defined spaces rather than being open plan. An ‘L’ shaped extension defines the spaces and allowed for an intimate terrace from kitchen and dining areas. A canopy roof allowed for a covered external space with steps down to the garden.
