Raising the ground floor to benefit from the sea view
This house in Blackrock is a protected structure and benefits from the renowned sea views in Dublin. The house has been fully restored and extended following a very poor conversion years ago where it was divided into two apartments.
The key concept of the design was to bring the main living spaces of the house to the raised ground floor level to benefit from the view and to use the lower ground floor for ancillary uses.
